Empowering Today's Professionals has five (5) specific objectives (goals) that make up each member’s Career Management Plan.

Goal #1 is Find a Job Where Passion and Income Intersect .  Our Wednesday Job Search & CEO of ME, Inc. Management School webinar is an intense training session that achieves results for anyone serious about finding a job.  Since 2004 Empowering Today's Professionals has helped many land jobs quicker.  In the last 12 months ETP has helped hundreds of people book interviews and get job offers.  Based on 28+ years of staffing, recruiting and human resource experience, CEO & Director of Career Management, Rod Colon, has painstakingly developed a training curriculum to empower members to succeed in their job search.  This is accomplished immediately by each member shifting from being an employee to a business owner mentality; being the CEO of ME, Inc..

Our education programs teach members how to connect directly with hiring managers, human resources and decision makers.  This works much better than submitting a resume into the Internet black hole.

Goal #1: Find a Job Where Passion and Income Intersect

Goal #2: Develop a trusted network of 200+ individuals

Goal #3: Develop a career backup plan for Goal #1 (JOB)

Goal #4: Generate multiple sources of income (not in conflict with primary)

Goal #5: Be a networking leader

Empowering Today's Professionals has five (5) specific objectives (goals) that make up each member’s Career Management Plan.

Goal #2 is Develop a Trusted Network of 200+ Individuals.  Our weekly Wednesday night training conference call covers this topic.   If your new to networking or consider yourself a master networker, there is always something new to learn on this call for improving networking skills.  LinkedIn is a powerful tool for making and tracking connections.  All members are encouraged to be on LinkedIn.

You can join many associations to network.  Empowering Today's Professionals is the only organization that actually teaches the proper form, approaches and etiquette on "how to network".  It is the core foundation that permeates throughout all ETP education programs and career management tools. The key is to develop reciprocal relationships, which makes people willingly help you achieve your career or business goals.

Empowering Today's Professionals has five (5) specific objectives (goals) that make up each member’s Career Management Plan.

Goal #3 is Develop a Career Backup Plan.  Business professionals spend much time developing contingency plans to insure their company maintains its business infrastructure, should some unforeseen event occur.  Very few people develop a contingency plan for their careers. Our monthly "CEO Corner" advance training session helps members develop a career management back up plan. . . . Just in case.

Goal #4: Generate Multiple Sources of Income

Empowering Today's Professionals has five (5) specific objectives (goals) that make up each member’s Career Management Plan. Taking a page out of the Star Wars franchise play book, we present each goal in a descending order series.

Goal #4 is Generate Multiple Sources of Income .  Any extra income generated must not be in conflict with your primary source of income, based on company guidelines.  For members who are employed with a primary source of income, ETP provides advanced training to achieve this goal.  These days all jobs are temporary.  Can you sustain your family's current life style, if your primary source of income stops abruptly?  At a bare minimum, a 2nd source of income should be developed to match the take home pay of your primary income. People put in overtime at work for the same pay.  Why not put in 2 hours a day in overtime to develop additional income?  Money is very easy to make and does not have to be related to your core business skills.

Wouldn't you agree that extra income would enhance the quality of life for everyone in your family?  Doesn't your family deserve better than living pay check to pay check?  It's the difference between making a living and living life.

Empowering Today's Professionals has five (5) specific objectives (goals) that make up each member’s Career Management Plan. Taking a page out of the Star Wars franchise play book, we present each goal in a descending order series.

Goal #5 is to Be a Networking Leader.  This allows you to be center of your network, as a rainmaker.  As Savvy Intrapreneur mentions, being a "person of influence", "change maker" or "rainmaker" are all interchangeable words. When opportunities come across your desk, share them with others in your network.  Just like a commercial, this keeps your name in front of people.

Be the master connector, by allowing people to leverage your network. Go out of your way to make email introductions, while edifying each person to other.

ETP Methodoligies Work

Our next free career management training session is in Manhattan on September 28, 2010 - Register now

Speaking of whether Empowering Today's Professionals methodologies actually work, as taught in our book "Win the Race for 21st Century Jobs", our weekly training calls and monthly training meetings, Jersey Shore Networking Group leader and software engineer, Tom Kenny, shares a glimpse into results he has achieved.  Tom has remained a very active ETP member whether in a transition job search or gainfully employed. This what smart savvy ETP members do.

Tom explains the results in his own words . . .

"Teaching my first Computer Science (CS111) course at Georgian Court was fantastic!

I covered all the material I had planned. I wasn't aware of it previously but last night I discovered I have a skill for detecting when students are disengaging and how to pull their attention back. I've been told by many friends that I'm a great teacher and I could see that in myself last night.

Of course, I'll still keep my high paying day job, but it's great to be developing an alternate source of income and strengthening my career back up plan.

Yesterday my current manager joked about how in a few short years I've gone from being unemployed to over-employed. He also stated that he wish he had the foresight, like I have, to develop a long term career plan.

I also met up with a couple of my former fellow graduate students who teach at Brookdale as well as OCC and are ready to make introductions there when I wish. I guess I'm always networking :-)

I'm sure both ETP and Toastmasters have greatly contributed toward my success of procuring the position and the effectiveness of being an Adjunct Professor.

Overall it was a great night toward a new chapter for the CEO of Me, Inc!"
